About Dr. Heather J. Roberts
Dr. Roberts is a nationally recognized Board Certified Dermatologist and laser surgeon with over 15 years of expertise in acne, skin rejuvenation and anti-aging treatments. Having graduated with highest honors in biochemistry from Rutgers University, Dr. Roberts has a special interest and expertise in the scientific relationship between the skin and the products used to maintain healthy skin. She received her medical doctorate from the University of California, Irvine, and completed dual residency training at UCLA/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Internal Medicine and USC Medical Center in Dermatology, respectively. This advanced training has given Dr. Roberts a deeper appreciation of the link between her patients' general health and their skin. This holistic approach to healthy, beautiful skin helps Dr. Roberts deilver the results her patients have come to expect and love.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Roberts is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at the USC Keck School of Medicine where she teaches both laser surgery and dermatologic surgery techniques to residents and medical students.
A leading expert in her field, Dr. Roberts has served as a national consultant for Allergan, makers of Botox Cosmetic. Her office has served as a National Botox Cosmetic Training Center for 10 years teaching other doctors the latest techniques.
As a consultant for Neutrogena, Dr. Roberts educates high school students on skin cancer prevention, acne and healthy skin. She also produced an educational training video for Neutrogena, makers of Biafine and Renova, on wound healing and skin aging.
Dr. Roberts has a special interest in acne and innovative treatments for this condition. She was the principal investigator in an FDA-approved study to treat acne with the Omnilight Laser. Because of her vast experience in the use of the Omnilight, Dr. Roberts serves as an international consultant for American Medical BioCare, Inc., makers of the Omnilight Laser and Candela Corporation, a worldwide leader in laser technology.
As a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Dr. Roberts volunteered in the SCORES program, which was dedicated to repairing injuries for female victims of spousal abuse. Dr. Roberts is a founding Board member for the Sun Safety for Kids program in California which strives to advance public awareness of the importance of life long skin cancer prevention behaviors beginning in childhood.
Her professional affiliations include: Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, member of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatologic Society and the California Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Roberts has been featured regularly on Lifetime television's "Speaking of Women's Health"; as well as other media outlets including: KTLA, Fox, CBS, ABC, the History Channel, Telemundo, the Los Angeles Times, Savoir and Teen Vogue Magazines.
